Beware Of Callcredit Scam.

I am currently trying to discover information the differene credit reference agencies hold on me and saw an ad online for CallCredit's online service.

I registered as they were offering a three month "free" trial - however, they immediatley deducted £12.00 from my Credit Card! - I was under the impression that they took card details to charge you at the END of the free trial period.

A message appeared on screen at the end of registration stating that "their staff were processing" the order - 10 days later Ihadnt heard from them so sent an email asking what was going on. My Email was ignored. A further 10 days on I called them and was reassured that they were "working through the emails" ect.... then as if by magic they replied stating they held NO info on me and that I wasnt on the electoral roll!

I replied stating that I WAS on the electoral roll and that Experian had this information so why didnt they?

They replied stating that they had since found me on the electoral roll, but my name was wrong, I once again asked them if Experian had been supplied with the right information, why would they be provided with the wrong information?

They insist that they dont have to refund the £12.00 they took and furthermore that it is MY fault they have incorrect information on file!

Steer clear from them, unprofessional, unhelpful and above all untrustworthy!

Cannot see why you didn't go direct to Experian or Equifax. They do free cradit checks as well.
