Poor, a all rounder poor company.

If I had to choose a pre-built machine it would be from Dell. Be brave, build it yourself. ;)

    ??

Mesh tend to use good quality parts and their cases/psu's are as good as any. This makes it easier to upgrade in future, unlike Dell, who use more proprietry parts. Mesh prices tend to be very competitive as well and usually include a 3 year warranty.

Customers services aren't as good as the product unfortunately.

Evesham are on a par with Mesh for quality of system but their customer services have a better reputation.

However, there will always be somebody with a 'bad news' story about any supplier.

I'm more than happy with the Mesh I bought 3 years ago. Never had to use their customer services though as it was supplied in time to the correct spec and has worked perfectly since. As Mark says, the components are standard and high quality, the case on mine gives good access for upgrading.
Building your own is good fun but even with shopping around for components it generally costs more that "off the shelf".

Purchased a Mesh desktop about 3 years ago, still going strong. They are very easy to upgrade (easy access etc). And because of their quality product i bought a Mesh laptop too!

Now the downside, the one time i had to use their customer service i was very disappointed. My graphics card failed (after 3 years that's not too bad!) but i was still under warranty. Within 2 days of complaining an engineer was at the house and replaced the card while i was at work.

On my return home i checked what he had done and he had replaced the card with a far inferior one. It took emails from nvidia (the grapic card manufacturer) to Mesh to tell them what comparable graphic card it should have been replaced with.

It got done to my satisfaction in the end, but if you don't have a clue about pcs, they would have quite happily left me with a far inferior graphic card.

Apart from that hiccup, i really would go for mesh, i think you pay a lityle over the odds, but you get a quality product.
  • I've a Mesh & no horror stories.
    :D

Just going by personnel experience. I know 3 people who got a MESH machine, 2 had nothing but problems with hardware and one was ok but she said she would never buy a MESH again. She got ripped off completely with a dated machine and she paid the prices of new technology at the time.....

They all have a p.c from me now :D and they've had to ring me 0 times for customer support :)

I'm on my second Mesh and have always found them excellent. My fan gave up on my last mesh about one week before the 3 year warranty expired - I emailed support and they sent an engineer round to change the fan.

I'm on my second mesh. First one very reliable and easily upgradable, still going strong and used by wife/kids with no problems.

New one for myself bought late last year is also trouble free and was a great price for the spec at the time - still beats some prices I see now.

I would recommend them but have heard the stories about those who have had problems, don't think they are many but you tend to hear the bad news more than the good.
  • Mesh: Good quality but could not be hurried in delivery. I even sent them a Valentine Card to remind them!
