Hi
Hopefully you kind people can help please....
I'm looking for a basic bank account but one that doesn't entail a credit check. I read somewhere that you can apply for non status bank accounts but these dont seem that accessible.
I only need a bank account that allows my salary to be paid into and able to make card payments so one with maestro/solo would be great..
Can you recommend any bank accounts that are quick and easy to setup and dont involve credit checks?????
Oh, one other question, I also noticed you can get prepaid cards, do these allow your wages to be paid into them????
Thanks
Mark

Barclays Cash Card Account is a good basic bank account that doesn't do credit checks. It comes with a VISA debit card. I would recommend it.
Other basic bank account also doesn't do credit checks. Here's a full list of them for you to choose if you don't like Barclays: http://www.moneymadeclear.fsa.gov.uk/pdfs/bank_accounts.pdf
Pre-paid cards can allow wages to be paid in. However, I do not recommend it. It involves a loading money and transactions fee.
Just open a basic bank account. Anyone is eligble for one.0
