Hi all,
I recently bought (24/03/09) a motorised disability armchair for my Mom, but unfortunatley She died before having a chance to use the chair. I phoned the retailer to return the chair for a refund but all he would offer was to sell the chair on. Am i entitled to a complete refund.

Im afraid not.
With respect its not the retailers fault you mum has passed on.
The retailer simply has to sell something thats fit for purpose- you report no problems with the chair itself- and I think its a great offer that the retailer will try to sell the chair on. Alternatively, why not try ebay, my nan died leaving a wheelchair behind and dad sold it on ebay- you wont get "full money" for it though I suspect.
Sorry to hear about you mum x:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

If you bought it online, then under the DSR you could return it without having to give a reason within 7 working days.
If you bought it in a shop, then no, unless they have a return policy above stat rights.0 -
What are they proposing to deduct for selling it on,out of interest?0

Didn't need to have bought online, any "at a distance" purchase,( catalogue, phone, mail order etc), comes under DSR.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
Absolutely, yes, I should have listed the lot.0
