ESA Query!

I have been made disabled due to pregnancy complications, I am still waiting for further appointments to the exact cause of my problems. I had to have my baby early by emergency caesarean due to the problems and things have worsened since. On top all of this I have post traumatic stress, due to the complications before and after the birth.
I applied for Employment support allowance- contribution based sometime ago the claim has been held up due to me being hospitalised so I only got the es500 form today to fill in.
I'm worried about being put in the work related group rather than the support group. I have not left the house alone since december and I only go out now to go to hospital appointments, where someone has to come with me.
Can people give me some input as to what group they were put in?
Thanks In Advance

    Can anyone help me??
  • I think the short answer is that as it's a new benefit, very few (if any of us) have any experience on how it works. Sorry.

You will only be placed in the Support Group ifyour illness or disability has a severe effect on your ability to work and if you get through the medical assessment. There's more information on that here:

    Thanks for your replies.

Is anyone her in a support group or work related group? I would like to hear peoples views on the different groups.

Im on two crutches when I am able to stand around the house, to go out I have to go in a wheelchair and be pushed as I have no strength in my arms. I am unable to sit in it for to long due to pelvic instability and the chronic pain in my hips and knees. I also have an 8 week baby with heart and lung problems who has just been discharged from hospital I am unable to leave anywhere.

    Thanks

Also I have sent off a medical certificate and I have a letter from one of my hospital consultants. Is it worth getting a letter off my GP to send with my claim?
