Iceland Coolzone fridge freezer

In May 2008 I purchased a Coolzone fridge freezer from Iceland. It never seemed very cold in the fridge and frozen food seemed not quite as frozen as in my old freezer. I popped into the store and mentioned it and was told to adjust the setting which i did for a few weeks but no difference. By this time it was nearly October but i went back in again and was told to ring the Coolzone and get an engineer out. No answer at Coolzone so after a week I went back and asked them to contact them and left my number. A couple of weeks went by still no joy. Just before Xmas went in again pestering by this time I was fed up and asked for an exchange because a fridge freezer shouldnt need a repair after three months should it? Eventually at the end of January an engineer came out and replaced the thermostat. They reckoned they had rung several times but nothing on either phone numbers they were given. However the fridge is still not cold enough and the freezer freezes then defrosts and refreezes the food. Food poisoning for tea anyone? I dont think I can bear to go through all this again. The 12 months guarantee runs out end of May 2009 so no doubt they will be stalling again as to a repair that I dont want. I feel that they sold me a dud to start with and it should have been exchanged not repaired and I had to drag my old Whirlpool out of the shed at Xmas. Kept it just in case 10 years old and a bit battered but still functioning well. What should I do with the Coolzone crapper cos its just gathering dust and used for sauces at moment I actually feel like delivering it back to Iceland via their shop window just to feel better. i emailed Iceland several times and received no reply and I have yet again sent a letter of complaint. Any comments?

Well I put the setting between 2 and 3 as told by the staff at Iceland any higher it freezes everything and between 2 and 3 not cold. Bought some yogurts which were cold when put in room temp when got them out later. Checked temperature with fridge thermometer supposed to be no higher than abou t4 was 6 to 8 so not right is it. Besides put a bag of frozen peppers in freezer and later they were soft and smelt of peppers then a few hours later frozen and ice on them then next morning soft again and ice on top of freezer was soft . Next day there were small icicles hanging from top of freezer. The thermostat was replaced so I dont think its that. Must be a design fault as to the location of the probe or someone said it might need regassing? This item has been the same since the day I got it so thats why I think I got a dud. next step? Get paid monthly and used to stock for the month but cant with that thing .0
