. Stop being so cynical and lighten up a little people are on here for advice and whilst we all may not be as educated as you we attempt to get our point over in one way or the other - we are not all dodgy characters !:rotfl:

indeed!! I think certain people shouldnt be to quick to judge others. after all, we're all in the same boat (one way or another):eek::eek:. For the most part Merlins posts are very useful and informative, but even i've had to comment on they way that he/she communicates with newbies who are (as I was) desperate for advice on their predicament and the company of online folks who've been there, done that and got the t-shirt. :A

    I'm on Merlins side,
    merlin pointed out things,
I'm not getting into a debate about my feelings on this

But if fluffyblue7210 and Sunnie2812, both have the same problems,
with legal insurance then the best advisie is they use what they paid for

Hang on a minute ! I havent got any issues with any legal insurance. I am merely asking a simple question - I just wanted some advice with past history and current problems as to what was the best way forward - thought this was a fair and unjudging website - i feel worse now that when I posted the damn thing - thanks

Exactly Sunnie !! People making assumptions and clearly people not allowing us newbies to express ourselves as we see fit !
  • HI - Finally received a reply on my SAR from welcome, well they have got a credit agreement which is ok. however I have/havent received the following

    1) . Transaction listing from 09/04 to now
    2) Have received some "Midas" notes relating to their intervention however these start from July 03 but I didnt buy the car until September 04.
    3) Have received one copy of a default letter sent in 05 yet I am meant to have 3.8k worth of charges?
    4) Have received an agreement saying "Agreement for optional insurance" aka PPI unsigned by me.
    5) Havent received ANY copies of any internal or external correspondance held about me.
    6) Havent received any terms and conditions applicable at the time of inception.

So I have sent of an "Account in Dispute" letter which stated I wasnt prepared to pay any more. I had a call from the branch in the meantime saying my account had been passed back from Asset Recovery for them to agree a payment, I confirmed with the branch manager that I wasnt prepared to pay anything until i received a statement of account, this was 8 days ago and still no statement.

The branch manager confirmed my account balance was 4.8k with 3.2k in charges. Which means the actual balance o/s is 1.6k.. THe manager said the PPI Claim is approx 1.8k so therefore Welcome OWE me £200.00 !.

I am now running the course with them. I am not paying them another penny until they produce the goods. I feel alot more confident now and have just fired off another letter to them re missing documents, Im at day 28 of the 40 day limit !! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well done! Welcome try and bend the rules as much as they possibly can, so just make them aware they won't get away with it with you.

    Hi Fluffyblue,

Sorry to hear that you have had poor dealings with your account manager.

It may be worth taking in the letter to the branch (make sure you make an appointment to see them though) they sound like they know what they are doing unike this Raj gentleman.

If there is anything that i may be able to help with then just let me know.

Ah the wonders of WF. What a set of muppets.
ok, firstly the bailiffs: legally they CANNOT enter your premises unless it is for TAX purposes ( council tax,VAT type thing). Call the police, plain and simple.
Charges: think it is £25 per phone call and roughly the same as a letter, and charges for each non payment-they all add up
Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D
