Help - Nintendo WiFi USB Connector

When trying to install, I'm getting error "internet conection sharing error.(5)" on my home PC.

Running Avira with Windows firewall.
I run the same security as above on my laptop and the usb connector installs fine, DS works every time.

Help appreciated, thanks.

What security settings do you have

correct me if I am wrong, but I think your wireless security has to be the less common WEP

[STRIKE]I've got my Wii running on WAP[/STRIKE] - ignore that bit. Just found out what the USB adapter is.

What operating system do you have on your computer?

I use Vista, same as my laptop, which works fine. Same OS, Same firewall. Same anti-virus.

    Laptop works, PC doesn't.

    Annoying or what?

You are correct, for wireless, but I'm using the usb connector which overrides this? Plus laptop works, which proves the usb is ok.

the problem will more then likely turn out to be in the firewall , what happen when its turned off . will ie ing the dongle work or not . I was using one of these with zone alarm which has a gaming mode which coupled with giving the dongle permission solved the problem
how you would do it with windows firewall no idea
