I would just like to say a massive thank you to this website and all who contribute, thanks to you I have managed to reduce dtrastically my major outgoing which was telephone....

Instead of paying upto 30p/min for mobile calls, I am now paying 1p/min
Instead of paying 5.5p per hour for evening landlines I am now paying nothing
Instead of paying 3p/call during the say I am now paying nothing!

All adds upto around 10-30 quid a month! More spending money for the pub!

The efforts of everyone here are very much appreciated by myself and the landlord at my local! ;)

  • Hi! can anyone out there help me? I have not long had a laptop and I am using dial up tiscali to use the internet, I don't use it a great deal just an hour or 2 in the evenings, I am paying option 1 to BT which is £20 month, however my internet on average is now bumping this up to around £40 which I can't really afford, is there any way I can have cheap phone calls and unlimited internet for around £25 or that asking too much, plus how do I go about changing things, have always been with BT, and get confused how much you pay to them even if you change provider, yes novice woman here, Help!

    Hi Sparkly Blue,

pop across to the Telephones Board, they are pretty hot on this sort of thing and are very helpful.

One of the most obvious reasons for not changing ISP is ones e-mail address, if you are a low user their are loads of freebie e-mails the most popular being Yahoo, Hotmail & Gmail but lots of others, so first step is change your e-mail address to a freebie, once changed ISP is also easily changed.
