Sainsbury's - dine in for two for £5

Well I posted this two days ago and today went to a large Sainsburys in London and there was no advertisement at all. Each item had a "dine in" sticker on it, but not all of them had it and the shelf label just said "multibuy see promotion details" but these were no where to be found. With another couple we found all the items - there was no Jersey mash but all the mains were found together and also the deserts.
Essentially if I hadn't known about this offer I'd never had got it but it did work fine at the checkout (self-service).
Bought 2 sets: Chicken and leek crumble, Sundried Tomato and Olive chicken, 2 x garlic potatoes, one of each cheesecake. The cheesecakes and potatoes were delicious and have only tried the chicken with leeks which was also great.
Definitely worth it if like me you don't drink wine which all the other supermarkets include in their deals.

I do drink wine but I don't need it to be part of my meal deal, and I'd rather pay a fiver excluding wine than a tenner including wine! :rotfl:Definitely worth it if like me you don't drink wine which all the other supermarkets include in their deals.
Thanks to all who post constructively.

We had a leaflet through the door that showed this offer and I went to the Sainsburys at London Colney which is massive but like other forum members I had to search for the items .They do not make it easy.I had the salmon en croute ,green vegetable medley and the cheesecake and it was really yummy.Well worth the search and virtually no cooking or washing up entailed.0

The Leamington Spa Sainsburys is also a massive branch and it has two locations for this offer, It's main location will be in the chiller ready meals section and the second location is on one of the plinths at the end of the chillers going down the centre of the shop. As a colleague it only costs me £4.50 and from the 09th April will only be £4.25

This offer has been much more successful than anticipated, so Holborn have had to substantially increase orders with the suppliers involved. They will probably start promoting it more heavily when they are confident that they have enough stock to cope with the demand. Just a hunch...charlottes_web wrote: »We had a leaflet through the door that showed this offer and I went to the Sainsburys at London Colney which is massive but like other forum members I had to search for the items .They do not make it easy.I had the salmon en croute ,green vegetable medley and the cheesecake and it was really yummy.Well worth the search and virtually no cooking or washing up entailed.
