Abbey national call centre hell

Hi just been on phone for 15 minutes to abbey national regarding a 50 pounds goodwill gesture which i still have not recieved off them. The letter they orignally sent to me from them saying i was getting this was on the 4th of march. A pakistani guy answered the call and just did not understand what i was talking about and then refused to transfer me to a english person and now im angry cos that just cost me 15 minutes of credit for no reason and i still have no idea what number to call to speak with a english person regarding my matter. Have any of u got any idea ?

Most call centers are hell.Your not alone. The best way to deal with this is try and grit your teeth. What I do is ask to speak to the manager. That way I get some sort of result.

Try calling or popping into your local branch.

I always ring 01908237963. You could also call customer relations.

Given the amount you've been offered it sounds like it's a branch that's dealing with things, so whether you get an Indian or a UK call centre they wouldn't really be able to give you an answer straight off. Just ask to be put through to the branch in question. If you're calling at a busy time then it's quite likely that they're busy with their customers and can't answer the phone, but the call centre can send a service request through for you to get a call back.
