    I am sure Bmibaby allocate seats at check in or you can reserve them online when booking(at a cost)

    Got it thanks.

    I still have to investigate th cost of transfer from airport to hotel - especially bearing in mind the very late arrival of 11.15pm at Mahon. I may consider hiring a car for the 2 weeks from the airport. I guess it can't be much more than 2 taxi transfers from airport to Talyot.

    Cheers,
    Don

    Glad I've managed to help you find a holiday, seems a great deal, pity I couldn't find myself such a good deal, that's what happens when you have to fly from Scotland.

    You will be able to book a private minibus transfer for 5, rather than 2 taxis and they will be waiting in the arrivals for you when you get off flight so don't worry about the time of arrival, I don't know of any companies for Menorca but I'm sure plenty of people on here will be able to recommend some, alot of companies can be booked one way or return and some you can pay in advance or pay on arrival, do check quotes with a few companies though as when we were looking for portugal the prices did vary greatly.

    Hi, we're another family of 5, kids ages 15,14 and 14 can anyone help us find a holiday for around £2000?

    We want to fly from Glasgow Int or Glasgow Prestwick to Benidorm, early July....2nd, 3rd or 4th for 14 nights if possible.

    My top choices are Magic Monika holidays or Sol Pelicanos but they both seen terribly dear this year. We like both of those mainly because of the fantastic pools they have and good entertainment.

    We would stay in an appartment but in Benidorm some of the areas look very poor and have tiny pools so unless one was recommended to us I'd be frightened to try it in case we were stuck somewhere full of young, drunk, noisy singles.

    thanks in advance, Fiona.
    You'll make my day if I know I've been helpful to you in some small way,
    so please press my :T thanks :Tbutton x

    You will struggle to get the accom options you want for £2000 and your probably looking more towards £2700.

    For anyone who was following this thread and/or have 5 or 6 people in their family, I finally booked our holiday today. Details as follows:

    My family consists of 2 adults, and three children aged 10,7 and 5.

    Thomson SuperFamily Hotel - Talayot Appartments, Cala'n Forcat, Menorca.

    Flying from Cardiff on 7th August for 14 nights returning on 22nd August.

    Cost, if full package holiday bought from Thomsons = £3400

    Cost to me:
    * Hotel booked through Thomsons = £1029
    Less cashback from Quidco = -£ 51

    * Flights with BMI Baby = £ 375
    3 bags & check-ins = £ 78
    5 seats pre-booked each way = £ 80
    credit card fee (extortionate!) = £ 35

    * Transfer - airport to hotel & return = £160
    (private mini-bus)

    = GRAND TOTAL = £1706

    (Saving of £1700 !)

    Anyone got any tips on how to find a package holiday for a family of 5? 2 adults and 3 children aged 10,6 and 5?

    It's a right royal pain using the tour operators' web sites! Whilst they allow you to enter
    total number of people (5) and allow you to specify number of rooms required (1), they still produce a LOT of results. And only when you click through several more windows for a particular hotel, do you find that they are quoting for TWO rooms.

    I appreciate that there are probably not many hotels that can accommodate 5 people, but is there any easy way of finding which ones DO?

    I would prefer a Thomsons FamilyClub hotel, but second best would be the First Choice equivalent, and third choice would be any other hotel.

    Am flexible on destination, so long as it is warm. Dates are over the typical Summer holiday period.

    Please no advice on 'alternatives' such as camping, or caravan holiday parks etc.etc.. We've done the Eurocamp experience for the last two years, so this year we want to go back to a standard hotel-based package holiday.

    Unfortunately all our favourite hotels that we have been to before eg. Bonaire in Cala Bona, Majorca can only accommodate 4 per 2-room apartment.

    Advice would be appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Don
    Hi , i can recommend the Hawaii hotel or apt in palma nova they have rooms that will accommodate all 5 of you you can book direct or with air tours. Or if you are looking for something further afield try dreams beach in Sharm Egypt rooms are large and we had joining rooms which were great. First Choice have Quality Inn Orlando I drive for around £2000 at the moment the dates are late June and all rooms there will sleep 5. check the prices for your dates longer trip but your money will go further. Hope this helps
