Ok so 1st thought when someone trys to sell you this stuff is to tell them to b off ...
1 month ago I purchased a new laptop from pc world. I took out the performance as I was told I had *2 months free* on the plan then you could cancel. Today I looks at my online banking to see that my 1st months payment has been taken out. What happened to my free 2 months? So I rings em up and they explain that on my reciept I will see a managers discount (We thought this was something to do with tax). It would appear your 2 months free come off of what you pay for the item.
So moral of the story is ... take it out ... leave it a few days to a week ring up and then cancel BEFORE 1st payment has been taken from your account.
Whilst I still have 1 payment taken out and cannot get a refund on this I have still saved £8.99! The performance is £8.99 a month. The free 2 months appears on your receipt as a managers discrecion offer of a total of £19.99.
So pay for you product take this out, cancel and save your self £19.99 off your product price! Do check first that they still do the 2 months free!!!

Did they explain when you bought it it would come off the price of the item you purchased, if not it seems they miss sold you it and I'd get a refund.0

No they didn't. I fought with the dude on the phone but he refused to pay out.0

They don't automagically give it free - you usually have to haggle it out of them.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0
-
I'd make an official complaint stating you were mislead.0

Yes it covers for accidental damage.0 -
Which may well be covered by your household insurance anyway. And it's not, you could add it a lt more cheaply than PCW's rip -off £108 pa.No free lunch, and no free laptop
