London to Bracknell commute

hi i'm just wondering if anyone has experience of commuting to bracknell from london. i've just been offered a job in bracknell and am wondering whether to take it. i don't currently drive (although am learning) so would have to be bus or train. does anyone have any ideas of reliability, cost etc and which method would be best. I haven't relocated yet so still fairly flexible about where in London to live. It would have to be nearish to the centre though as i'm only young and want to be able to go out without too much hassle.

Bracknell is on the Waterloo to Reading line, it takes 50 mins to an hour from Waterloo, 4 trains per hour.

The service is average and prone to delays, I commuted to Staines (same line) from Clapham for a year.

Living wise, depends on your budget, Richmond is excellent for nightlife, shops, restaurants etc. Also consider Clapham Junction. Both locations would reduce commute by 10 to 20 mins.

In the current climate things are tough if you can battle with up to 2 hour max journey one way per day then go for it....i use to work in bracknell literally five mins walk from the station but lived in the south east....it was a nightmare journey....one hour bus ride to waterloo and then an 1 hour by train. Trains were constantly delayed too, at times when there were strikes, i had to hire a car to get to work......from clapham its around 40 mins.....
