Or's and the worst they can do????

As you all know we are basically putting off going for Br for several reasons.
A. Waiting for DFD to fail us and send the certificate. Decided against asking for it in case they do to us as they have to Zoe.
B. Got holiday booked and don't want the OR to cancel it thinking that we shouldn't go when we really need this.
c. Don't want to lose the car which is on Hp till Feb when we can hand it back without trouble.
d. OH's shares are due in Feb next year so will cash in to get a new banger.

Not sure if we can hold on this long, it is really down to DFD and how long they take to tell our creditors that the debt has been returned to us.

What I worry about is all the above if we have to do it early and how the OR will react to the above when put against the debt we owe.

What is the very worst the OR can actually do to a person. You are bankrupt as of the day in court, this can not be revoked can it? I really feel that going BR is going to be bad enough but, if I have to explain to family why my car has gone back early and why we are not going on holiday would be the killer for me and the reason why I am dragging things out longer.

And, no we have not told anyone nor are we going to.
 Money Talks ...

I imagine if you had a IVA/debt managemnet plan you should not have had a holiday anyway so the OR may well want a refund, but I personally doubt it. Surely more hassle then its worth, but it wont look good that you could afford to book a holiday but failed a IVA/DMP.

The car on HP will go I would imagine as it still belongs to the HP company? Somebody tell me if I am wrong.

As for the shares!! Why didn't you cash them and use money towards the DMP? Or are they waiting to mature? Either way they are your estatee and the OR will deffo have them. They even took my £100 premium bonds!!

This one is pretty bad: http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/databases/ddirector/viewbrobrudetailsmore.asp?courtnumber=0751472008

But generally speaking they will only do something nasty like this to you if you have really taken the proverbial like these people did.

Don't worry Spender - as long as you don't try and hide anything, all will be fine :)

The holiday was booked a year previous to get the good deal we had

  • Before my call I spent the whole night trawling through the cases in the West Midlands, drinking and smoking my head off looking for someone like me.
