End date of income support...

Hi all,

I have been off work due to illness for over 2 years now and claiming Income Support through Incapacity for about 18months, maybe more(I did not qualify for Incapacity due to not having enough NI Contributions).

I start my new job tomorrow and wrote to the jobcentre last week to let them know.

Today I received a letter saying that they will stop paying me on the 27th (tomorrow) so i'm just wondering does anyone know is Income Support paid in front or behind, I should get paid this tuesday coming, will this be my last payment?

I'm not sure, I'm pretty certain it is paid in arrears, but congratulations on your job, I hope you really enjoy it!

if it's in arrears I should get it tuesday then?

In 99.9999999999999999999999999999999% of cases IS is paid in arrears so you should get one more payment.

Ooh thank you that's really good I can pay my mum rent on tuesday I was worrying!
