Anyone reading my British Gas woes thread last year will remember that the only way to resolve a complaint that had been dragging on for months was to write to the top man.
(See my 'British Gas woes' thread form last year)
Sorry, no link. The forum won't let me post links as I'm a 'new user'.
It seems that Npower are no different and my complaint is exactly the same as British gas, they reckon we have two meters in our property and are charging for both under different names (my wifes married and maiden name).
After complaining to Npower, several times they sent us a letter fobbing us off telling us they required more time to look into the matter (8 months is stretching it a bit now especially as they sent an inspector to check our meter etc...
We have now started to get the debt recovery letters though the door even though Npower assure us that these will stop as the account is in dispute.
We thought we had sorted all this when we left BG
Anyone got the CEO's address?

Just got letters today in both names...they are excercising their right to enter premisies and disconnect both Gas & Electricity on Tuesday... Sfunny that seeing as they say they aretaking no action as account is in dispute.
They are fast enough to send threatening letters but unable to resolve a complaint that BG took the same amount of time over, until we went to the main man and it was sorted overnight !0 -

Thanks for the input but I'm acquainted with Dante's Inferno.
The postcode remark was meant to be humourous...hence the wink.
The reponse, although unhelpful, did make me smile.0 -

Just spoke to Npwer and apparently I'm still at Level 1 in the complaints process some 5 months down the line. It would seem "it is up to the customer to escalate if they are unhappy with the result". The fact that I haven't had a result would seem to make no impact...So just escalated and see what happens now. The fact that the old account under Pugh and new account under Smith are 'not linked' makes me wonder what what the 'specialist team' who have been investigating the complaint have been doing for the last 6 months...0
