    As said,you should now be entitled to some help with your mortgage interest payments.

    As I see it, if you are not going to claim as a couple and get help with your mortgage, then you can only be better off with your wife working, as presumably she would earn more than £60.50 a week?

    Even if it is short term, it is sensible for you to claim as a couple, or for her to claim herself if she has paid enough contributions over the last two years, because then both of your contributions will be covered during your unemployment iyswim. At present, only you have protected NI contributions and that may affect your OH's state pension.

    if your partner is unemployed she should claim JSA or you should claim together even if its just to make sure her NI contributions are up to date she qont be accruing any NI while not signing on which could give you no end of headaches later in life should you need them

    been told by job+ last week that gonna join a mandatory employment zone prorgamme with recruiment agent for 6 months in april09 and no longer to request to sign on in job+.

    browse the net found out that there are only following area operating this !!!!!!!! programme in uk.

    Birmingham, Doncaster, Haringey, Heads of the Valleys and Caerphilly (HOVAC), Newham, Nottingham City, Plymouth and Southwark.
    Brent, Brighton and Hove, Glasgow City, Liverpool & Sefton, North West Wales, Middlesbrough with Redcar & Cleveland, and Tower Hamlets.

    after 6 months, if nothing been offered by agent and will rejoin to sign on in job+ again.

    has anyone done this prorgamme? please advise.
