Lloyds cash cards? please help

hi, i have a classic account at lloyds with a cheque book but no debit card, anyhoos, just been into town as little uns need new clobber and went to a bank to use my card (halifax) anyway, got a sign up saying card cannot be used at this cashpoint, well i have used it before, so i went to a small lloyds branch and drew money over counter, i asked the cashier why and she looked at my account and said it had been turned into a basic account????? because i had gone overdrawn - which was a lloyds mistake and they refunded my account and apologised last week.
so there was a queue i didnt argue got my money and did shopping knowing that on my way home i go past the larger main lloyds branch and would call in there, anyway, the nice man said yes it had been downgraded i could only use a lloyds cash machine, so i complained, maybe a bit loud, and said thats not fair as i live out of town and there is no lloyds cashpoints near me, so he went into the system and said i couldnt have a debit card, then said i will see if i can apply for you anyway???? he then turned to me and said i could have a 2 in 1 visa card?? i was in a rush for my bus so said right thank you and it will be with me within 4 days.
now im thinking, what is a 2 in 1 card.........im baffled, can anyone tell me please!

3-in-1 usually means cash card + debit card + cheque guarantee card. I think 2-in-1 doesn't have the last feature.

thank you, I phoned them and asked, they said it is a debit signature card but i cant use chip and pin.

3in 1 card is a full debit card ie cashpoint, cheque guarantee, and visa debit.
2 in 1 card is an Electron card which is cashpoint and limited visa card.
It is limited because some retailers don'accept it and transactions are verified electronically to your available balance before being processed.If you don't have the money on your acount when you shop it will be declined.

Both cards as above should be available as chip and pin or chip and signature cards.
