Sky Gnome and the new EPG

Woke up this morning to find my Gnome was not picking up Radio 5 Live on its preset.

Sky had updated the EPG so that radio channels now have 4 digits, so 5 live is now 0105.

The problem is and this has been confirmed by Sky the Gnome will not store 4 digit channels!

So you have to key them in manually....Arrrghhh! :mad:

Anyone know young Murdochs e-mail address?

I have the same problem, Sky Gnome presets don't work anymore.

I called up sky and basically got told tough they don't work anymore, Sky will do what they like to the channel line up so live with it.

It would appear sky hasn't thought of this yet they are continuing to sell them saying that they have 10 presets, this isn't strictly true, no presets work on the radio.

Do you think we could get trading standards involved, I feel cheated on this and surely it is no longer fit for purpose? :mad: :mad: :mad:

id get em involved definately! they are a "fairly" new product and no warning of this happening came so i think its well worth following up.

Is there a national website for trading standards or is it something I have to do locally do you know, I have never done this before?

You need to contact your local trading standards - they are in the BT phone book. I have Sky and found yesterday that they've changed loads of the TV channel numbers, as well! :mad:

I haven't got a Gnome, but I'd be well hacked off if I had.

Go for them! :T

E-mailed Sky yesterday and have had a call back to say that they are aware of the shortcomings of the Gnome with the 4 digit radio channel numbers, and are working on a fix.
No time scale as yet.

Thanks very much, had to use it myself once as Sky customer service staff on the whole are of poor quality. I could not believe how instantly I became an important customer to Sky after using that e-mail address!

I'm sure it goes without saying but could anyone using it try to be nice as he will not know the history to your situation, but does get things sorted.
