Sounds like the passport office has improved then......havent heard a horror story for years now

I did this the other week, both mine (renewal) and my daughters (first passport) was back within the week. Highly recommend!

Ditto to the above! Sent mine on something like the 3rd March and had it back 4 days later! Amazing.

I'm wondering if this is a trend with Government agencies at the moment...?

I posted a change of name driving licence application to DVLA on tuesday lunchtime and was concerned as I needed photo ID for a domestic flight that has been booked on my behalf on 17th April. As I had been advised that their service level is a 15 working day turnaround (including Easter!), I gave them a courtesy call yesterday to make sure my documents had been received and were in order. Not only have they been received, but the application has been completed and is back in the post!
I'm well impressed!

I got a photo licence including change of address within the week...most impressed

It's supposed to be a two week service. I replaced two lost passports at different stages of last year (they weren't both mine though!) using Check & Send and they both came back well within the time.

Just to confirm that my passport was sent via the post office on Saturday 4th April and I received it today 9th
