does anyone know the best way to find a private rental property? When i search i just get the big companies - i am thinking if i can go direct to the owners, i might get it a bit cheaper. What is the best way to find all these brits who have properties abroad that they rent?

There is a fantastic website that someone on here posted last week. It's www.laymyhat.com and is a forum for private villa owners but everyone has a link on their postings to their own website. There should be a part on there that is a chat bit where you could post such a question.

I'm not a villa owner myself - I wish I even owned a house in this country - but had bookmarked it for when we have enough money to go on holiday again!
