I need to get a new keyboard cos the one on the laptop is not working and has been disconnected now. If I just get one off the net (cheaper), just plug in, would it work or is there any complicated stuff that needs to be done?

Also, I use wireless and usually there is a key for wireless. If I get a keyboard without one, is there any other ways of turning the wireless on/off?

if you get a USB keyboard it should work easily enough. I would imagine there is a way of turning the wireless on and off on the laptop by clicking somewhere, probably something in the tray (bottom right).

What make of laptop do you have as one option would be to buy a replacement keyboard from fleabay.

You can turn wireless on and off from control panel, network connections.
