Hello all,
Not sure where to go on this so some advice from people would help me
I have sent the first letter to Egg (Via there secured site) got standard letter back saying will look into. Had 4 weeks in to the complaint letter adviseing still looking into and will reply in 4 weeks time
Now it has been 8 weeks and received a letter saying they have been unable to reslove my complaint within the 8 weeks and need more time and will reply in due course
Now what do i do now - hold tight or go on to next step
Any ideas as some people have been paid out no problems - Owed about £2000

Hi there hun
Now here its up to you, you can either bear it for a little longer and hope it will be soon they get back with hopefully a good response,
or
You could now take this to the Financial ombudsman service, as 8 weeks is ample time for them to investigate complaints.
However, it seems they may have a back log of these complaints to sort out and are possibly delayed, but if you feel its time to move this on then you can do so now.
Be aware though, the FOS do have very high volumes in these complaints and it could be a while before they move this on to an adjudicator, also depending on your personal circumstances as well, but you do have a choice here hun, so if your case was not resolved in your favour anyway, then it will be the next stage to the FOS anyway, unless they give you the opportunity to write to them again with further information in order for them to investigate.
Good luck hun, hope you hear very soon with some good news, but here are some details of the FOS and complaints form that you can either download from their site or you can ring them to arrange for them to send you one through the post.

Please keep us posted, cheers.;)

I think I may send Egg another letter stating unhappy that with in 8 weeks this has not been resloved and that if I don't get a reply within (set a time scale) then will consider FOS and see what they say to thatHi there hun

Good luck hun, you do what you feel is best.;)
If it gets to that stage then also send EGG a copy of the completed FOS form, make them aware this has been moved on to the FOS for further investigation, and tell them you have enclosed a copy of the complaints form for their interest and records.
Sometimes this can help and they may even change their minds, if they do then just let the FOS know, but its not guaranteed, good luck.;)
