    Just the one?

    Have you not considered falsies?

My mother took me out of a dentist's chair when I was a child because he told me my sister would look like Dracula because she wouldn't have a permanent brace on her teeth to close the gap between her front teeth!

We moved Dentist and they were a huge improvement. Within weeks my Dracula sister was in hospital having about a dozen teeth removed from the roof of her mouth etc.

New dentist was just a much nicer man and we stayed with him till he retired. Still go to his old practice now and see one of his former junior dentists who must be about 60:D

Touch wood DD (14) has no fillings to date. Our NHS dentist is great with her and has always spent time showing her how to clean her teeth properly with the brace etc. The orthodentist who we are paying privately just gave her a bag of freebies with an instruction booklet. If I wanted to go to another Orthodentist that treats children privately I would have to travel a couple of hours there and back to the nearest major city. As we have to go every 6 weeks for the probably 2 years and I work part-time and DD already started on GCSE course work we thought it was too much hassle.

Even though I pay privately for orthodentic treatment I have to remind them of this when I'm rebooking if I want out of school hours appointment. Yet my NHS dentist staff always offer me out of school hours appointment or let me book ahead for school holidays.
