0% BT & purchase card question

I have Coop card that I have used to make 0% BTs. The 0% promotion ends on 1st April. Let's assume I clear the full balance, say a week before this date. If I then make a purchase on the empty card before 1st April, do I have to clear the balance again by 1st April to avoid interest charges, or is it still OK to settle in full by the payment due date?

Comments

  • The purchase won't be at 0%
It will be at the higher purchase rate.
There won't therefore be a limit on time for paying it back!
  • So to avoid interest charges on this purchase, if you pay the balance by the payment due date on that month's statement, you'll be fine. Assuming the first part re: paid off the BT before made the purchase, and checked to ensure card was back to £0

That's what I thought, but wanted to double check. Thanks everyone.
