Hello all.

How much would you expect to pay for an Engineer to connect Twin LNB to sky box, cables to PVR (Humax Foxsat-HDR-PVR) ?

I have had 3 quotes - £80.00 John Lewis incl new sky dish
£80.00 Connection to existing dish incl twin LN
£120.00 " " " " " " "

My problem is they are all saying different things about how to connect the equipment, I am a complete nunce about all things technical, Who do I trust?:o

I would also appreciate your opinions on this model or the 9300T? Big difference in price but is it worth it?

    quad lnb from ebay ~£15
    reel of coax ~£15
    4x "F" connectors = ~£2
    bag of cable clips ~£0.50
Half an hour's work, possibly drilling into a wall

I'd have thought a local TV engineer would do it for ~£50-£60....but I did my own so never asked (and I hate ladders :( )

The 9300T is not a Freesat reciver it is a Freeview box (arial) hence the price difference plus it is not HD.
