If it's happened more than once I'd complain to the police, who should have a quick word in his ear like.
Sadly the Police won't give a stuff as they will see this as a "civil matter" - particularly as there are already judgments.
And even if they did have an informal word, it looks like this trader won't give a monkeys.0 -
Hollydays is right.
I would be interested to know whether it is a limited company or sole trader. I suspect Ltd company in which case your options are more limited.
Name the company!
No mention of it on Companies House though
Just remembered my local paper has a kind of 'Watchdog' type section, I'm gonna write to that for the hell of it, hope for some bad publicity for them.0 -

I think a garage in Southsea (Portsmouth) also has this name.
Oh dear....0 -
It's the one in Portsmouth by the same name, still trading too.
With the car I had arranged to buy up for sale.0 -

Yeah I found that site a little while ago. Was able to dig up some information on the owner of the place thanks to it. Not that it's helped me.0

Have you contacted trading standards?
If they routinely take a deposit then fail to sell the car to return the deposit, then this is starting to look like a scam. Tell them what the bailiffs told you, if TS decide this is a pattern of fraudulent activity they can start proceedings against the company.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
One of the problems with places like this is they tend to ignore any civil law actions against them. The best thing is direct action. On nice sunny Saturday stand outside the garage with a poster give out leaflets get the local paper involved if it hits their sales and thus their pocket they will find it easier to pay you than just ignore you"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."
