Hi

I have a ps2 which i want to connect for online gaming. I have all the bits and bobs and have been able to connect using internet connection sharing with a crossover cable but to do this i have to disable zone alarm

Is there a way to connect and still have zone alarm running?

Sorry to "Piggy back" on your query, but it's along the same lines.

I want to link my PS2 up to the internet aswell, however I'm wanting to know if I can link it through my laptop.

My laptop connects to the internet via a wireless connection. My router is upstairs and miles away from the Playstation so I don't think a cable would be much use as I'd have to run it through the house.

Can I use the Laptops connection to the internet to run my playstation?

Yes as long as its done via a cat5 ethernet cable just take the connection
out of the lappy and straight into the PS2 then use the online setup disk for
the PS2, Tho youll have to watch it on TV as usual.

Open ZoneAlarm and if I remember correctly on the left bar, pick second option, then click Zones and and the Playstation's IP Address to the trusted zone, then click back to overview to save changes. This should allow the playstation to access the internet with ZA running.
