Childrens savings and housing benefit....

I just wondered is there any extra allowance for children's savings on top of the £6000 (i think?) that does not effect housing benefit? Or do children's savings count towards the £6k that a couple can have?

You are allowed £16,000 in savings before it would totally stop any entitlement to housing benefit, and childrens savings also count in this total.It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.0
