    That got me confused as well, missile. I always made sure to know exactly what I am getting here when buying them

    Because I had to shift quite a large amount of money into something tax free due to tax credits very quickly after a house sale.

    Sometimes "It's backed by the government, tax free, guaranteed to not decrease and you can take the money out at any time" is all you need to know.

    and in the long run it tends to be better than savings rates. Its not for rate tarts who move money around all the time.
