Just discovered my amazon card has been used for fraudulent transactions after receiving an email from Halifax secure confirming a secure code reset.
Knowing I hadn't changed the secure code, I called them immediately. They confirmed the card had been used for certain transactions online, which I confirmed weren't mine.
Anyway, they can't do anything until the transactions appear on my account, apparently.
I'm to check my account online and call them as they start appearing.
Is there anything else to be done in these circumstances ?

Update :
Logged in to check if any transactions had appeared and there was a message to call the fraud team.
Called them and explained the situation and they said they would send out forms to be signed and if I had any objections to involving the police.
I said no, glad if the police are able to nab the culprit.
They also said the customer service advisor I spoke to yesterday should have put me through to the fraud team, rather than asking me to check my account and report the transactions as they appeared.
Hopefully, it will get sorted soon.0 -
Put it in writing. Say everything you've done so far. Report it to the Police and give them the crime reference or incident number too.
Keep a record of any other calls, times and who you've spoken to.
Good luck.0
