Taking neice on holiday

I'm taking my neice on holiday and was wondering (just wanted to be sure) that this was allowed, obviously I've got her mother's consent and will have her passport but seem to think that I need a letter of consent with me as well. Just worried as it's different names on the passport and it might cause problems. TIA.

We are doing the same thing . When I spoke to Ryanair they were happy enough for her to be going with us , as she was part of a "family" booking. Make sure you have her included on your travel insurance or her own policy, also make sure she has the new fangled eqivalent E111 . Get details of any allergies or medical conditions , just in case . If she is old enough make sure she has credit on her mobile , and have a great time .hth x
  • Forgot all about getting her an E111!

E111s are no more. They have been replaced by EHIC's (as per Lady E's post) and can be applied for online:

    Not even wrong
  • Cheers, saves a trip to the post office. I might just give Easyjet a ring just to double check and make sure.

We did this with our neice who has a different surname. Get a letter signed by her parents which details name and passport numbers for her and yourself.
