Greenhouse help - Idiots guide

Ive just been gifted a greenhouse and I really have no idea on how to go about when to sow seeds, whats best to grow in a greenhouse etc.
Does anyone know good book titles or recommend on the subject of greenhouse growing and using it etc etc. I could get a book via eBay but dont want to buy something too much in-depth just an idiots guide would do to start with:rolleyes:
cheers:beer:

D.G. Hessayon's The Greenhouse Expert is cheap, available absolutely everywhere and reliable. He's no stylist but if it's the basic facts you are after he's excellent value for money!

    Hope that helps.

A Google search for Greenhouse growing tips, comes up with this
    http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=navclient&hl=en-GB&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4HPNN_enGB306GB276&q=greenhouse+growing+guide

I think a nosey through these pages gives a good idea as to what to grow.

For me personally I find I learn more from other peoples experience. One forum in particular that I like is invaluable as you get personal advice from friendly people, and you get to ask as many "stupid" questions as you like :D

    The forum is https://www.growveg.info

Unusually, you can talk about anything, not just gardening on there (and believe me we do!). There are lots of forums out there, I joined 4 2 years ago, and this is the one that I have stayed with due to the community feel.

A lot of the forum members have greenhouses and thus are able to advise on ideal conditions according to where you live etc which I find invaluable!

    Moneysaving tip of the Day

Buy some cheap silicone sealant and place a couple of blobs on each side of every sheet of glass, just where the clips are, You'll never loose glass again,

I used to loose £30-£40 of glass yearly, I used this method 5 years ago and haven't lost a sheet since. :D
