hubby and i have been at our house since 2006 and we have never switched, i've looked into it but really can't seem to get my head around it

Work out how much electricity (and gas) you use in kWh per year based on your old bills.
Or ask your current supplier for that info if you haven't kept your old bills.
Then put that data into 2 or 3 of the comparison sites in the resource bar above to see who can offer you the best deal (if they all suggest the same supplier & tariff, its probably the best deal)
