Sorry, I know this is off thread as it were, but could I just ask someone please: How do I get a picture on the lefthand side under my name and also how to add information at the bottom of my messages, inc. details of the £2 Savers Club and lightbulb moments, etc! Thanks!

Either click on "user cp" along the top beige line with the blue links or click on "Private messages". In there you can edit your signature. The picture is called an Avatar and you can search for one on the web, save it to your docs and upload here. HTH

I'm still feeling rough and won't be spending today but hubby has had to buy lunch and some bread and milk on his way home so about a fiver. Having said it would be a no spend day yesterday had to put £20 petrol in the car

£1.50 on a ladle and £.6.50 on a new shower curtain from Matalan. Desperately needed teh curtain as old one is manky and can no longer cope with having the manky strip cut off the bottom!!

Ladle is needed for when I make soup to prevent most of it ending up on teh worktop !! lol

Only spending today is £2.50 for DS1's dance club after school. Have not been anywhere to spend money - I've finally worked out that if I don't go to the shopping centre - I don't spend any money!!!!

I need to get a new bulb for my brake light on the car and may take DS2 out with a friend tomorrow -but just £2.50 for today!!!:j

  • £3 for a car wash, £30 owed to a friend, 40p on a twix and £14 on cinema tickets, so £47.40 so far but the £14 should come back my way and I used my cinema card so I paid nothing for my ticket. On the pluse side, I collected 6 £2 coins today for my tin!
Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

I am staying at home today, its snowing and theres a bitter arctic wind so I wont be spending anything today, I didnt spend anything yesterday,so I am feeling rather pleased with myself.
  • Spent £30 owed to friend for selling me her freezer - bargain!! £45 on OH's bike tax - so expensive day for me = £75!

Received Martin's e-mail tonight and spent the following:

£1 on elle magazine, but get £40 worth of lippie so can't be bad
£10 on Glamour mag for 10 month's worth and free perfume worth £29.99 and as it's my friend's 40th in May, have ordered her one also - bargain!!

Oh also had to subscribe to Zone Alarm before it ran out tomorrow and it is important to keep PC nice and safe!! around $30 (equivalent £20)

To tot up therefore £116, but look at what I've got - a new freezer, £40 worth of lippy and perfume worth £60 (and a safe PC which is priceless to make sure it doesn't get invaded by bugs!!) - total around £300 worth of goods - can't be bad - thanks Martin x :money: :money: :money:
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:
  • Sob… it was my 6 monthly scale and polish at the dentists today….sat in the chair, white knuckles and rigid with fear….. Wahhhgh…. Argggghhhhh…. those are not the screams of pain caused by supersonic, ultra high pitched drills screeching and ripping into Raw Nerves or the grating and scouring of incredibly Sharp Pointy Probes and other instruments of torture… digging out cavities of old Buttery Toast and Marmalade and Plaque thingys… oh no... those are the sounds of a Tormented and Anguished MSE Soul handing over …. sob… £30.00 for the bill…

At the end of the Torture..… er…Treatment…. I vaguely remember The Sweet Young Dental Hygienist saying…”…all done…see you in 6 months time…” Clutching the remains of my broken face I mumbled … “Thank you….we must do this again…not…” as I ambled off to the coffee shop to read the freebie newspapers… :D
    :)The £2 Coin Savers Club = £346.00 (£300.00 transferred to Savings a/c)

  • Greenfingers, that made me laugh!! My friend didn't have the scale and polish last week as he wanted to save money!!

I spent 40p on two lemons for Shrove Tuesday, my only reason for living today is the prospect of pancakes for tea!! :T
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

    one life, live it!
