in Credit cards
Strange one this , I checked my online Amex blue account last night and noticed it had an £800 balance transfer on it , I rang csutomers services and he told me I would have to wait around 7-10 days for it to be looked into and removed but said he couldnt tell me the name on the card that transfered the £800 .Firstly I am not happy that someone can tranfer a balance so easily (I though amex would be one of the more secure cards) and secondly I am not happy that it is easy for someone to transfer a balance to my account but I cant get any details. I felt I was banging my head against the wall with C/S is there anything I can do or say (and should they treat me now to keep me as a customer?)

In fact it is not easy to transfer a balance to any credit card, Amex included. I can see three possible explanations:
1. Amex's staff mistake. In this case it will be corrected and you have nothing to warry about.
2. Online fraud. I don't have this card at the moment and don't remember there they allow making BTs online. Are you sure that you take maximum precautions when using online banking?
3. The same as (2), but by telephone. Are you sure than nobody has access to your card details and personal information?0 -
yes and yes. Apparently they will not tell me where the fraud took place so if its a shop Icould be back shopping there next week !!! Pukka0
