  • You can run both together, Firefox just installs like any other program. You can choose to set it as the default browser if you like.

Spellbound, but it doesn't work with the latest version of firefox - you need to wait for an update.

Google Toolbar has a spellchecker - But can't remember if it works with MSE Enhanced Interface in Firefox - Quite a few things don't

With the Firefox version of Google toolbar you don't have to keep the whole toolbar clogging up space. You can just drag the spellchecker - and any other stuff you like - off the toolbar and up by the menus, then hide the rest of the toolbar (all via View, Toolbar, Customize)

I don't think you can actually delete IE. Also there are still a few websites kicking around that can't be viewed properly in Firefox.

  • You can get an extension called "IE View" from Firefox which lets you choose if you want to view a particular website in IE. So when you visit that site again if its in your bookmarks it will open in IE for you.

I use it and its really handy.

I find IE Tab easier in most cases than IE View as it opens the page within firefox itself.

As for spellbound, I have it working fine on my Firefox (1.5.0.1)
