I had it for dinner today!

Mine is Pasta, Tuna, a tin of Campbells Condensed Tomato Soup, frozen peas and sweetcorn, breadcrumbs and grated cheese.

Mostly cook the pasta, Add tuna, soup, frozen veg. Top with breadcrumbs (just wizz bread in mixer) and cheese. Finish off in the oven. Yumm!

I am interested to see what In debts recipe is? I for some reason don't cook with tuna. I'm not sure I like it warm in food?

Just for your info, there is a thread about different uses for tuna!

It is nice even on toast with some chopped onion. Tuna and cheese toasties used to be good too!

  • Hi there!

    Tuna pasta sauce

    7oz pasta
    1 tbsp olive/sunflower oil
    1 medium onion chopped finely
    1 garlic clove, crushed

1/2 a finely grated carrot (optional)
    1 large tin chopped tomatoes
    1 tbsp tomato puree
    4 - 5 oz tinned sweetcorn
Tin of tuna, drained and flaked
    pinch of mixed herbs

    salt and black pepper
    • Cook the pasta according to the packet instructions.
    • Meanwhile, put the oil in a large non-stick frying pan and heat gently. Add the tin of tomatoes, grated carrot, onion and garlic and cook until the onion has softened.
    • Add the tomato puree and sweetcorn and cook for five minutes.
    • Add the tuna and herbs, season with salt and pepper and then heat through.
    • Add the sauce to the pasta and stir it through..
    • Serve with a sprinkle of cheese.
We sometimes serve with a nice crusty roll. Hope you enjoy it if you try it!
