Life Assurance

Hi. Does anyone have advice about which kind of insurance is best in this situation My sons are grown up so I don't need to provide for their future. I have insurance on my mortgage, but I want some kind of policy that would pay out enough for a funeral basically, so I wouldn't be leaving that burden on my boys when the time comes.
Thank you

you are after a whole of life assurance to fit that need.

You wont find good internet coverage on it though as its a) mainly paper basis applications and quotes b) low profit and c) a higher regulated product than normal term assurance (falls under investment classifiction rather than protection).

You could also pay for your funeral in advance.

My Dad recently had a cancer scare and sent me his funeral arrangements.
I thought I'd be shocked and upset but actually I was very happy and relived because when the time comes I/we will know exactly what he wants, down to poems, music, memorial, type of coffin etc.

So as well as sorting out the finances you could be providing a lot of comfort to your family if you actually specify what you would like.
