I'm going threw the same sort of thing at the moment. Got some advice on here that say's not to worry(i still do but not so much). Keep your tenancy agreement or similar next to your door to prove you are not who they are looking for let them know you have informed the court. do not let them trick you to get in the house they have no right's despite what they say. if they do not leave call the police.(try to get a look at ID for name etc first). sure someone else will give better facts than me soon.

    Good luck
slowly going nuts at the world:T

I have a similar problem. My building is divided into 3 flats. Recently a letter arrived addressed to someone who does not live in the building, with just the street number not the flat number. It is from a company called 'Response Credit Management' on behalf of 'Aktiv Capital' and is for around £3000. It is in red and says it is important the letter is not ignored, a reply must be received within 14 days.

I too have been told to return letters to sender. But to me that sounds similar to replying to a spammer and asking to be removed from their list - if you respond it tells them that there is someone at that address who is responsive and even if it is not the person they are after, I have a feeling they would be more likely to pursue it if they receive a reply, I think it is better to ignore it. Is that right? Or should I send the letter back?
