JSA sanction - worth appealing?
Edwardian_Fred
I recently receieved a letter telling me that because I lost my last job through my own fault I am not entitled to JSA for 26 weeks. If I appeal the decision is it possible they will pay me JSA at a lower rate? I have no other form of income and if I can't get any JSA I don't have a clue what i'm supposed to live on
Thanks for any advice.

You can appeal, but if you were sacked and your employer have stated that to the DWP whatever the background, you are unlikely to win. You can however apply for a "hardship" rate of JSA when you get a lower rate. You need to fill in a form to apply for this at the job centre.
good luck
