Door handle wont let me in!

Oh I do hope someone can help.
The door handle was taken off the inside of the door and not yet replaced. The square pole has just been sitting in the hole. The handle is all still attached on the outside of the door. I shut the door this morning but now it wont open! How do I fix it?
The room is first floor and the windows are shut.

has the spindle come out when the door is shut .sounds like this is whats happened take the handle off and use another spindle or screw driver to open the doorif you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction0
