Quick question: Will mini cash ISA's avaliable for the tax year 2006-2007 or have they been stopped?

Am I right in thinking that the "experts" who contribute to these forums are actually forbidden from saying: "O.k. - buy into Infidelity & Venus's Wonder Emerging Opportunities Fund" because it's against the rules? Because that's what we're after... (yes, I know, how do we trust that advice etc.) :o

As CC says, its against board rules. Also, for the professionals amongst us, we have to be more careful with what we say as we are financially and legally liable for the advice we give. This is often why you see responses from the advisors being a little more watered down or full of "ifs" and "maybes". If things were always clear cut then there wouldnt be the range of options, funds and providers that there are. There is no 100% answer to suit everyone and without knowing the person involved, its not possible to give advice.

    Safe until 2010.

But with both of them, and this is the difficulty people like me, Deb1969 and thousands of others have, is when you get there, how the hell do you choose from the vast array of funds that are listed?

    That is the biggest problem.

If I make the wrong choice, I could lose a lot rather than gain from my investment. I don't have the time to do my own research - I am too busy being a full-time teacher and full-time single mum.

So I choose to get advice. I hate spending money needlessly but in this case I feel justified.
