Unless you have severe mental health problems you will probably have to go for a medical, especially as they wanted you to go before.
You can request a home visit but you would need a letter from your Doctor to say this was necessary.0 -
It can take weeks I'm afraid to hear anything after filling in the IB50.
Also, filling this in does not mean you definitely don't have to have a medical. It depends whether they feel they can make a decision based upon what is on the IB50.
As to whether you canhave a home visit, I suppose all you can do is ask.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
If you want to have a medical at home you will need to get your gp to write a letter to atos stating the reasons you would be unable to attend a medical. I had a IB50 back in january which i sent back along with a letter from my doctor(atos told me they would only accept a letter from gp no one else). I filled the IB50 in very very comprehensivly so that hopefully i could avoid having a medical. It worked i got a letter back last week stating that i did not have to attend a medical and my benefit will contine for the forseeable future which was a great relief. You need to get the letter from the dr asap.0
