Widescreen Monitor Problem

Hi, I'm sure I must be a few clicks away from sorting out a problem but I can't find it and its driving me up the wall! When I use my PC to see the whole of the desktop area I have to scroll left and right, no matter what I look at its all wider than the monitor which is a widescreen?

I'm pretty sure you need to right click the desktop and goto properties then select the settings tab and play about with the resolution settings until it fits the screen correctly.Worth a try easy enough to change back if i'm wrong.

For an LCD TFT screen you get best results when it is set to the native resolution of the monitor.

Look in the manual of your monitor (or google your monitor model) to find the native resolution. Then change your resolution that one.

IIRC, some displays allow you to set a display size that is greater than the resolution of the monitor, so that you can scan to move around the screen.

Go into the display properties and check that the monitor type is displayed correctly on the "Settings" tab. If not, try to update it: you can try the manufacturer's website for the latest drivers.

Then open the advanced tab (which will display specific tabs for your display) and try to find the scrolling option.
