Adventure Holidays for young single people?

Hi.

I'm in the middle of getting divorced and could do with a holiday. Unfortunately I have no-one to go with* and not a great deal of money to spend.

Does anyone know any websites like https://www.responsibletravel.com where I can go on an 'interesting' holiday in a group where it doesn't matter whether I'm single or not.

In fairness Ive holidayed alone for some years ( Im 28) as it started with trying to get my mates together and couldnt manage it what with work committments and all.

So off i went to Cuba on my tod, and it was wonderful. Since then Ive been to Mexico, dominican republic, belize and venezuela alone and im worried now I have my other half in tow whether holidaying with him will be as good!! Ive never paid more than £200 inc taxes for a return flight!

Seriously, grab yourself a lonely planet, find the cheapest hostels you can and go and see the stuff YOU want to see. Along the way youll meet cool people to hang out with and like the same stuff you do for a few beers and nightlife etc. Ive even been to nightclubs on my own and it was fantastic!!

I personally wouldnt go with a company in case there was annoying people in my "group" although I have considered them. Instead, its me my bag and my map and the open road!

I've been on an intrepid trip to cambodia and vietnam. It was great. I went with my OH. Other travellers included 2 friends and the other 8 were all single and aged between 18-50.

Anyway, I have used many a travel company for solo travelling and for travelling with my mates.

The above should keep you going for a while. The great thing about them is that they don't charge single supplement.

In regards to what Lynzpower said about annoying people, yes it could happen, but you just ignore them. There are enough companies out there that will have the holiday that you want and are still quite flexible and give you your own time to do stuff.
