One of the few references I can find to them on here is that they recently sent out a debt letter for £00.00?

I think we may be starting to see a history of (a) incompetence and/or (b) scattergun debt collection, i.e. find a few people whose names resemble the debtor and fire off a letter to them.
Either way, I am thinking their local Trading Standards should be paying them a visit. According to the Cornwall Council website, you go through Consumer Direct in the first instance.
Let's hope their entry into the field of debt collection is short and unpleasant.0 -

Just had a phone call from the famous MIL COLLECTIONS about a Debt that I owe from about a year ago they offered me a great settlement saved around £1500 I dont see what the big problem with them is! If you owe the money shouldnt you just pay it????0

Guessing that I was wrong to pay this then its rather confusing as reading through the threads its seems I dont have to but from what I was told by OFT and the CAB I was better to pay the settlement that MIL offered who is right here??? Please help!0 -
