HI THERE, I HAVE OLD ORANGE PINE UNITS :eek: WHICH HAVE BEEN KNOCKED ABOUT OVER THE YEARS. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF I CAN JUST RUB THEM DOWN AND WAX THEM OR SOMETHING. TO MAKE THEM LOOK NICER AS IM PAINTING MY SITTING ROOM BUT DONT HAVE MONEY TO BUY NICE NEW UNITS. ANY IDEAS PLEASE

You'd be better getting a paint & varnish stripper such as Nitromore's to strip the varnish off, then sand & wax afterwards.
It's probably wise to give it a try on the interior of one of the doors beforehand to ensure the end result is going to be successful though. :eek:
Otherwise you could try sanding them down to get rid of the orange tinge to get a more natural pine look, then give them a coat of satin clear sealing varnish.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
