Hi,
I am ready to move money from my linked current a/c with another bank to my new online saver with A&L. I have the a/c number obviously as it's on the letter they sent when a/c opened and visable when i view my empty a/c online. Where do i find the sort code? This is such a stupid question but i can't find it and can't transfer the money without it. I have just sent message to A&L but just thought...bet you guys will answer more quickly than they do!!

You don't need a sort code to transfer money into your OS2 account.apples1 wrote:This is such a stupid question but i can't find it and can't transfer the money without it.
The account can be 'driven' from the A&L end by 'pulling' money into it from your linked current account elsewhere. This is because there is a DD instruction set up for it.
Haven't you received a "Confirmation of your direct debit instruction" letter?0 -
first of all no question is stupid. it should appear on the list of your accounts. the isa is linked to your current account just like the plussaver or regular saver. you can transfer money in and out at will. if it's not there phone up internet banking helpline and ask them to link 2 together.0

Yorkshire Boy - cheers. Money now "pulled" from other bank current a/c to A&L. Much appreciated. Don't seem to have anything confirming DD but its set up as nominated a/c on there and once I read your post I remembered setting it up when opening the a/c. Just hadn't clicked I'd be using it to pull money. Used to sending from bank that it's leaving!

1. The query is about an Online Saver, not an ISAhomersimpson wrote:first of all no question is stupid. it should appear on the list of your accounts. the isa is linked to your current account just like the plussaver or regular saver. you can transfer money in and out at will. if it's not there phone up internet banking helpline and ask them to link 2 together.
2. The OP's current account is "with another bank"0 -
